Thursday, October 22nd AGM :- There will be the opportunity to elect new
Committee members at this meeting as well as view a selection of our
extensive Archive material.

Thursday, November 26th Rae Musk will be giving an illustrated talk entitled
“The Beachey Boys-Brothers in War:- One family’s loss in the Great War

Saturday,December 12th Our Christmas Social this year will once again be held
at Bigbury Golf Club 7pm for 7.30pm with a festive menu already available from
Margaret Cocks and at the AGM on October 22nd:- 2 courses £18:00 or 3
courses £23:00

Thursday, January, 28th Brian Alloway will be giving an illustrated talk entitled
“Our Daily Lead”covering the abuse and health effects of lead over 6,000 years
since it was first used by the Ancient Egyptians; also covering the Devon colic
problem of the 1700s

Thursday, February 25th Nigel Blenkarne will be giving a talk on the History of
Bigbury Golf Club.

Thursday, March 24th Nigel Overton from The Plymouth City Museum has been
invited to give a talk on the history of the building of the Eddystone Lighthouse
7.30pm (Please note time difference)

Thursday, April 28th John Risdon historian from Brixham, will give us an
illustrated talk entitled “Defence of the Realm-One Thousand Years of
Fortifications within South Devon”

Saturday May 28th A guided tour of Edgcumbe House, Saltash or possibly a visit
to Morwellham Quay near Tavistock (more details from Margaret later)
