Thursday. October 23rd - (7.30) AGM followed by"World
War 1 Remembered" an exhibition of memorabilia and photos together
with personal stories of family members engaged in the conflict;
there will a welcome glass of wine.
Thursday, November 27th - Local historian Win Scutt,
who is Assistant Properties Curator for English Heritage, Win
will give an illustrated talk "Prehistoric Settlement in South
Saturday.December 13th - Our Christmas Social this year
will be at Bigbury Golf Club 7pm for 7.30pm with a festive menu
already available; details from Margaret Cocks and names please

Thursday. January. 22nd - "Backalong in Kingston" with
Viv Freeman who will entertain us with stories from the past
and possibly a ditty or two!
Thursday. February 26th - Once again Bill Scarratt returns
with his amazing volume of local research with a talk Joseph
Whidby, Devonian Limestone a the construction of the Plymouth
Breakwater entitled "The Great National Undertaking"
Thursday, March 26th - Mery Freeman will possibly give
a talk on the History of Kingston Fire station- further details
Thursday. April 23rd (2pm) - visit to the Cookworthy
Museum in Kingsbridge for a talk by the Chairman on "Hidden
Treasures from behind the Scenes" interesting objects will be
brought out which are not usually on display.
Thursday, May 28th - Visit to Lady Astor's House, 3
Elliot Terrace Plymouth, tour 2pm price E5.25 pp. Please indicate
if you are interested in this trip to Margaret.

Meetings take place on a Thursday at 8pm in Kingston Reading
Room (except where noted) with refreshments afterwards; trips/visits
to historical venues are organised by Margaret Cocks.
